IN THIS SITUATION WITH SCHWABACHER IT WAS ADDED INTO THE AGREEMENT THAT BEFORE WE PUT IT UP FOR EMPLOYEES THAT THE DISTRICT HAS THE ABILITY TO PURCHASE THEM IF THEY SO CHOOSE.

WE HAVE TO MAKE THAT DECISION WITHIN A FORTY FIVE DAY PERIOD.

D R . CHAPMAN IS GOING TO TALK TO US ABOUT COVID SHE'S GOING TO TALK TO US ABOUT THE DISTRICT LEADERS REPORT, PARTICULARLY THE MIDDLE SCHOOL RENOVATIONS.

AND BECAUSE WE HAVE A LOT OF HEAVY ITEMS, THE ONE I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A FUN DISCUSSION ABOUT OUR CUBS AND GRIZZLIES AND HOW THAT'S ALL GOING.

CHAPMAN, IF YOU WANT TO START WITH YOUR COVID UPDATE.

AND LIKE EVERYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY, WE ARE CLOSELY MONITORING THE NUMBER OF COVID RELATED ABSENCES IN OUR COMMUNITY OR SORRY, COVID ISSUES IN OUR COMMUNITY, BUT ALSO RELATED ABSENCES FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF.

SO I WANTED TO UPDATE THE BOARD A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT, BECAUSE I KNOW IT IS A PRIMARY CONCERN. AS YOU KNOW, TRUSTEES, WE ARE REPORTING DATA ON FRIDAYS AS THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS AND STAFF IMPACTED BY COVID SO THEY COULD BE QUARANTINED OR THEY COULD BE ISOLATED. CURRENTLY WE HAVE AS OF TODAY, NINETY FIVE STUDENTS OR THREE POINT FOUR, SEVEN PERCENT OF OUR STUDENT POPULATION ARE IMPACTED BY COVID AND FOUR POINT SEVEN SEVEN PERCENT OF OUR STAFF OR TWENTY FOUR STAFF MEMBERS ARE IMPACTED BY COVID.

SO AT THIS POINT IN TIME, WE ARE ABLE TO STAFF OUR BUILDINGS.

AND EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE FOUR POINT SEVEN, SEVEN PERCENT OF OUR STAFF THAT ARE IMPACTED BY COVID, AND THAT COULD BE THEY'VE TESTED POSITIVE, A MEMBER IN THEIR HOUSEHOLD IS POSITIVE OR THEY'RE QUARANTINED .

THEY COULD BE QUARANTINED FOR EXPOSURE AT SCHOOL IN THE COMMUNITY.

SO IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN THAT THAT NUMBER ARE POSITIVE, BUT THEY MAY BE QUARANTINED OR POSITIVE OR ISOLATED.

SO WE SHARE THE CONCERN OVER THE SPIKE IN CASES.

AND TONIGHT WE WANTED TO PROVIDE UPDATES ON THE IMPACT TO SCHOOLS.

SO THE FIRST UPDATE THAT I'D LIKE TO CALL UPON, HEATHER SCHON FROM HUMAN RESOURCES AND KRISTEN MAYO EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF RESOURCES, THEY'RE GOING TO TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE FFC RA, HOW WE'RE APPLYING THAT PAID TIME OFF VERSUS SICK LEAVE BANK AND THE NUMBER OF ABSENCES DUE TO COVID IN THE DAYS THAT WE'VE USED.

SO TURNING IT OVER TO HEATHER AND KRISTEN.

GOOD EVENING, MR. CHAIR, TRUSTEE, I HOPE EVERYONE CAN HEAR ME.

I JUST WANTED TO TOUCH BASE A LITTLE BIT.

I KNOW DR. CHAPMAN JUST TOUCHED ON WHERE WE'RE AT FROM A PERCENTAGE AS OF TODAY, BUT I DO WANT TO GO OVER WHERE WE'RE AT, AT LEAST WITH FEDERAL LEAVES AND WHERE WE STAND .

AND THEN JUST HAVE AN OVERALL UPDATE, AT LEAST FROM A FISCAL YEAR STANDPOINT, ON THE NUMBER OF ABSENCES THAT WE'VE USED .

AS WE TALKED, I BELIEVE IT WAS IN LAST BOARD MEETING.

A LITTLE BIT MORE IN DETAIL ABOUT THE FFCRA THE FAMILIES FIRST CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE ACT.

THAT WAS A EXTENUATION OF FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR COVID RELATED

ABSENCES. AND THOSE FEDERAL LEAVES OFFERED EMPLOYEES SOME PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR ABSENCES RELATED TO COVID ALL AND IN ADDITION, WE HAD OPENED UP THE SICK BANK TO OFFER SOME DAYS FOR COVID RELIEF AS WELL.

ALL OF THOSE PROGRAMS WERE SET TO GO THROUGH DECEMBER 31ST OF 2020.

AS IT STANDS NOW, CONGRESS CHOSE TO LET THOSE MANDATES AND LEAVES EXPIRE, BUT THEY HAVE GIVEN FFCRA COVERED EMPLOYERS THE OPTION TO EXTEND THOSE LEAVES ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS THROUGH MARCH 31ST O F 2021 TO THE EXTENT THAT THE EMPLOYEE HAS NOT YET EXHAUSTED THOSE BENEFITS. SO IN THE CASE THAT MAYBE PRIOR TO THE TURN OF 2021, THEY'VE USED ALL OF THEIR FEDERAL LEAVE ENTITLEMENTS, THEY'RE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY FURTHER THROUGH MARCH 31ST.

BUT IN THE CASE THAT THEY'VE ONLY USED, SAY, FIVE OUT OF THEIR 10 FEDERAL DAYS, WE WILL BE CONSIDERING TO OFFER THEM FIVE MORE DAYS.

WE WILL BE EXTENDING THE SICK BANK THROUGH THAT DEADLINE AS WELL.

SO THE SICK BANK WILL STILL BE AN OPTION THROUGH MARCH 31ST 2021 ONE AS WELL.

FROM A SICK BANK STANDPOINT, WE DID HAVE SOME NEW ENROLLMENTS.

WE RAN AN OPEN ENROLLMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR STAFF TO BECOME MEMBERS OF THE SICK BANK.

THEY CAN POTENTIALLY USE THAT FOR COVID RELATED ABSENCES.

SO FAR TO DATE, FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR, WE'VE USED APPROXIMATELY 31 DAYS FROM THE SICK BANK FOR COVID RELATED ABSENCES.

WE'VE ISSUED A FEW OTHERS FOR GENERAL MEDICAL REASONS BUT ABOUT THIRTY ONE DAYS FOR COVID RELATED REASONS. AND WHEN WE LOOK AT THE TOTAL OVERALL NUMBERS FOR COVID RELATED ABSENCES, AND THIS IS GOING TO FISCAL YEAR SO FROM JULY 1ST OF 2020 THROUGH TODAY, WE HAVE HAD A TOTAL NUMBER.

THIS IS TOTAL NUMBER OF DAYS ACROSS ALL TYPES OF STAFF.

ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY DAYS WE HAVE HAD ABSENT FOR COVID RELATED REASONS.

FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY ONE OF THOSE DAYS WE DID HAVE STAFF WORKING FROM HOME IN SOME CAPACITY. SO SOME OF THOSE FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY ONE DAYS, WE DID ALSO REQUIRE A SUBSTITUTE TO BE IN THE CLASSROOM WHILE THE TEACHER WAS ZOOMING IN AND TAKING CARE OF SOME OF THOSE DUTIES. AND SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE ROUGHLY OF THOSE WERE ACTUAL ABSENCES. SO AGAIN, TWELVE HUNDRED WERE FOR STAFF NOT PHYSICALLY BEING PRESENT IN A BUILDING OR IN THE CLASSROOM, ABOUT SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY NINE OF THOSE ACTUAL OUT AND NOT WORKING FROM HOME. SO AGAIN, THAT'S FROM JULY 1ST.

SOME OF THOSE FEDERAL LEAVES ALSO REQUIRE YOU OR WE ALLOW STAFF TO USE A PORTION OF THEIR PTO IF THEY QUALIFY FOR ONE OF THE FEDERAL LEAVES THAT'S A REDUCTION OF WAGES.

AND SO I JUST WANTED TO THROW THAT PTO NUMBER IN THERE, TOO.

SO THOSE QUALIFIED FOR THAT REDUCTION AND CHOSE TO USE THEIR PTO TO SUPPLEMENT THAT REDUCTION. WE'VE SEEN ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY ONE POINT FIVE DAYS OF PTO USED AGAIN FOR COVID RELATED ABSENCES SINCE JULY 1ST THROUGH PRESENT DAY.

SO THAT'S JUST AN UPDATE ON WHERE WE STAND FOR OVERALL DAYS ABSENT FROM STAFF AND WHERE WE STAND WITH OFFERING FEDERAL LEAVES AND SICK BANK GOING FORWARD, AT LEAST THROUGH THE END OF MARCH. TRUSTEE S BEFORE WE MOVE ON TO THE NEXT SECTION OF OUR COVID UPDATE.

I WANTED THE BOARD TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WEIGH IN AS TO THE OPTION OF SPECTATORS ATTENDING EVENTS. AND JUST TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION ON THAT AS YOU MULL THAT OVER. WE DO NOT HAVE ANY HOME EVENTS BETWEEN JANUARY TWENTY SEVENTH AND FEBRUARY 2ND.

SO WE WOULD HAVE HOME EVENTS ON THE JANUARY 14TH, 15TH AND 2 2ND.

SO IT'S VERY, VERY SMALL IMPACT IF THE BOARD WANTED TO CONSIDER LIMITING SPECTATORS.

SO IT'S A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR TESTING.

WE DO HAVE ATHLETES ALL WHILE WE ENCOURAGE ATHLETES TO USE THE VAULT TESTS THAT WE DISTRIBUTE. WE DO HAVE ATHLETES AND STUDENTS AND STAFF MEMBERS, FOR THAT MATTER, THAT ARE PARTICIPATING IN SURVEILLANCE TESTING FROM THE FREE WYOMING VAULT PROGRAM.

WE GET DATA FROM THAT, BUT WE DON'T GET THE DATA IN THE SAME FORMAT THAT WE DO IF THE STUDENT STAFF OR VOLUNTEERS USE THE VAULT TESTS THAT WE DISTRIBUTE.

SO WE DO HAVE WE ESTIMATE ABOUT TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE TESTS ARE DISTRIBUTED EACH WEEK FROM THE VAULT TEST THAT WE HAVE ON HAND.

IT DOES REQUIRE GATE MANAGEMENT.

OUR SPECTATORS ARE REQUIRED TO SIT SIX FEET AWAY FROM OTHER PEOPLE.

THEY WERE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK ALL THE TIME.

WE'VE HAD GOOD COMPLIANCE WITH THAT.

HOWEVER, I DID NOT WANT A RECOMMENDATION TO BE OUT THERE [INAUDIBLE] DR .

RIDDELL THAT THE BOARD HADN'T YET CONSIDERED.

SO THE LATEST TIMELINE, AN AGENDA PRIORITY GROUP NUMBER SEVEN WAS NOT LISTED AND THAT TIMELINE, WENT TO APRIL.

AND AS IN TERMS OF ANOTHER UPDATE, THERE ARE COMMUNITIES WITHIN WYOMING AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITHIN WYOMING THAT ARE BEING VACCINATED RIGHT NOW FOR THEIR EDUCATORS.

SO THAT'S JUST I'M NOT WHINING.

I'M JUST SAYING WE'RE IN A DIFFERENT SITUATION IN TETON COUNTY.

IT'S SOCIALIZING AFTER SCHOOL.

AND SAME THING WITH THE 20 YEAR OLDS.

SHE WAS SHOWING THAT THOSE ARE TWO AREAS THAT THE NUMBERS ARE THEY'RE OVERREPRESENTED IS THE WORD SHE USED.

WE MADE SOME REFINEMENTS IN THE DESIGN BECAUSE THE TEAM WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY THE DIAGRAM FROM THE [INAUDIBLE] HAD KIND OF DEVELOPED INTO THE ACTUAL BUILDING DESIGN.

SO THAT HAS GONE WELL.

AND PLAN ONE, ARCHITECTS ON THE 11TH OF THIS MONTH SUBMITTED THE REVISED PACKAGE.

AND THIS YEAR WE OPENED TCSD GRIZZLIES, WHICH IS THE PRE-K PROGRAM.

GRIZZLIES IS LOCATED IN JACKSON ELEMENTARY.

AND THE INTENT OF THE MAJORITY OF THE REVENUE, THE FUNDING IS THROUGH JUST OUR TUITION PAYMENTS. BUT AS YOU GUYS MAY BE AWARE, OR MOST OF YOU EXCEPT FOR TRUSTEE ZUNG, WE HAVE OUR BOCES PARTNERSHIP THAT WE GOT INTO I THINK IT WAS SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER, WHICH ALSO HELPS US OUT WITH SOME OF THOSE COST EXPENSES RELATED TO THE PRE-K TRANSITION WORK.

SO, YEAH, SO GOING INTO SOME OF THE CHALLENGES THAT WE'VE HAD, AS I'VE MENTIONED, IT'S A LOT OF THE STUFF THAT OUR TEACHERS IN OUR SCHOOLS ARE EXPERIENCING AS WELL.

THE STAFFING CHALLENGES, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE THERE'S DFS REGULATIONS AROUND STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIOS THAT WHEN A TEACHER IS OUT DUE TO QUARANTINE ISOLATION SYMPTOMS AT HOME, THOSE POSITIONS HAVE TO BE FILLED AND THEY HAVE TO BE FILLED IMMEDIATELY.

SO OUR STAFF HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB OF COVERING THAT.

BUT IT IS A CHALLENGE ON A REALLY ALMOST A DAILY BUT CERTAINLY A WEEKLY BASIS.

I PUT WEARING MASKS HERE.

I KNOW THAT FEELS A LITTLE TRIVIAL THIS FAR INTO THE PANDEMIC, BUT I THINK CHAIR GINGERY MENTIONED THIS SEVERAL BOARD MEETINGS AGO, THE CHALLENGE OF LIKE EARLY LITERACY INSTRUCTION FOR OUR KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS AND FIRST GRADE TEACHERS, JUST BECAUSE THE STUDENTS CAN'T SEE THE LIPS OF OUR TEACHERS.

AND THAT MAKES IT A LOT HARDER TO COMMUNICATE AND WORK TOGETHER.

AND THAT'S A REAL CHALLENGE FOR OUR INFANTS, TODDLERS IN OUR PRE-K KIDDOS AS WELL.

SO IT'S DEFINITELY NOT SO MUCH A COMPLIANCE ISSUE.

IT'S JUST A CHALLENGE FOR US.

PLANNING, COLLABORATION TIME AND PD TIME.

THAT'S A CHALLENGE JUST BECAUSE OUR STAFF ARE WORKING OUR PROGRAM IS OPEN EVERY DAY THAT OUR TEACHERS ARE ON CONTRACT.

SO IT'S NOT ON THE STUDENT'S SCHEDULE.

SO WHEN WE HAVE SOME IN-SERVICE DAYS, THOSE IN-SERVICE DAYS ARE REGULAR WORK DAYS FOR THE PRE-K AND FOR THE CUBS PROGRAM.

SO THERE'S NOT THAT ADDITIONAL TIME FOR PD WE HAVE.

I THINK THIS WILL KIND OF MOVE US INTO THE SOME OF THE CELEBRATIONS SOME OF THE REMEDIES TO THAT IS WE HAVE TRIED TO CLOSE, YOU KNOW, MAYBE ONE DAY A MONTH OR TWO DAYS A MONTH WHERE WE WOULD CLOSE A HALF HOUR EARLY.

TEACHERS WOULD HAVE TO PICK UP THEIR KIDDOS A LITTLE EARLY, BUT THAT WOULD GIVE US SOME TIME FOR SOME PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND COLLABORATION.

SO WE'RE TRYING TO DO THAT A LITTLE MORE CONSISTENTLY.

AND THAT'S BEEN HELPFUL AS FAR AS CELEBRATIONS.

OBVIOUSLY TAKE THE STATEMENT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, BUT THE NO COVID TRANSMISSION IDENTIFIED, AT LEAST AS FAR AS WE'RE AWARE, THROUGH CONTACT TRACING EFFORTS, NO COVID TRANSMISSION IDENTIFIED WITHIN THE FACILITY.

BUT WE FOUND A FEW WHO ARE INTERESTED, WHO ARE WILLING TO STEP UP AND INTERESTED IN THIS POPULATION. SO THAT'S BEEN HELPFUL.

MOVING ON DOWN, WE'VE HAD SOME GRANT SUPPORT TO OFFSET SOME OF THE COVID RELATED EXPENSES. SO THAT'S BEEN VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

WE HAVE A FULL ENROLLMENT AND WAIT LIST, WHICH HOPEFULLY SPEAKS WELL TO THE PROGRAM AND THE BENEFIT THAT THIS IS PROVIDING OUR STAFF.

AND THEN FINALLY, I MENTIONED HERE THE PYRAMID MODEL MTSS IT'S JUST THIS IS ACTUALLY THANKS TO ONE OF OUR STAFF IN THE GRIZZLIES PROGRAM NOW WHO USED TO WORK IN CUBS, MICHELE [INAUDIBLE], AND SHE'S WORKED WITH ALEX GOE AND URENA TO JUST KIND OF APPLY AN MTSS FRAMEWORK TO THE SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL NEEDS OF OUR STUDENTS IN CUBS AND GRIZZLIES. WE KIND OF HAVE OUR GENERAL CURRICULUM THAT'S FOR ALL STUDENTS THERE.

BUT IF STUDENTS NEED SOME MORE SUPPORT WITH COMMUNICATION OR COLLABORATION OR PLAYING WITH OTHER KIDDOS, YOU KNOW, TRYING TO PROVIDE MORE INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT FOR THOSE KIDDOS IS IT'S JUST A FRAMEWORK THAT WE'RE APPLYING THERE.

FIRST, I'VE BEEN REACHING OUT TO OUR AREA, EARLY CHILD CARE CENTERS AND PRESCHOOL TEACHERS AND TALKING TO THEM ABOUT HOW THE TRANSITION PROCESS HAS WORKED FOR THEM IN THE PAST. YOU KNOW, HOW THEY'VE BEEN COMMUNICATING AND COLLABORATING WITH THE DISTRICT AS FAR AS TRANSITION GOES AND JUST REALLY GETTING FEEDBACK.

WITH THAT FEEDBACK I'VE BEEN WORKING TO CREATE AN IDEAL KINDERGARTEN TRANSITION TIMELINE.

AND SO WHAT THIS IS, IS REALLY A DOCUMENT FULL OF DATES AND EVENTS THAT REALLY COVERS THE WHOLE YEAR PRECEDING ENTRY INTO KINDERGARTEN.

AND SO WHAT THIS ALLOWS US TO DO IS REALLY START COMMUNICATING WITH FAMILIES SOONER AND IN A MORE INDIVIDUALIZED WAY AS THEY GO THROUGH THE KINDERGARTEN TRANSITION PROCESS.

AND THAT WAS KIND OF IT. IT WAS PRETTY FORMAL AND NOT A REALLY GREAT PICTURE OF WHAT KINDERGARTEN IS.

AND SO WE'RE TRYING TO SHIFT THAT EXPERIENCE AND REALLY MAKE IT INTO A FAMILY BASED EXPERIENCE WHERE THESE FAMILIES REALLY FEEL WELCOME INTO THIS NEW LEARNING COMMUNITY.

AND SO WHAT WE'RE GOING TO BE DOING IS WORKING WITH KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS ACROSS THE DISTRICT TO KIND OF REIMAGINE THIS EVENT.

WE'RE ALSO GOING TO BE PUSHING THAT BACK TO CLOSER TO THE START OF SCHOOL.

SO THIS EVENT IS GOING TO BE IN AUGUST, WHICH WILL REALLY HELP GET A BETTER PICTURE OF WHO THESE KINDERGARTNERS ARE AS THEY START IN KINDERGARTEN.

IN YEARS PAST, WE HELD THE SCREENER IN APRIL AND MAY, AND FOR SOME OF OUR KIDS, THEY WERE STILL FOUR YEARS OLD.

AND SO YOU CAN IMAGINE, YOU KNOW, A FEW EXTRA MONTHS OF GROWTH AND MATURITY AND LEARNING IS A WHOLE BUNCH TO A FOUR YEAR OLD AND THEN AS THEY TURN FIVE IN ENTRY INTO KINDERGARTEN. SO I THINK THERE'S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY HERE TO MAKE THIS EVENT SOMETHING

SOMETHING ELSE THAT WE'RE DOING IS REALLY COLLABORATING MORE WITH OUR PRE-K TEACHERS IN OUR COMMUNITY. AND WE'RE DOING THAT THROUGH JOINT PD.

WE'RE ALSO DOING THAT THROUGH OPPORTUNITIES TO INVITE PRESCHOOL TEACHERS INTO OUR CLASSROOMS AND VICE VERSA.

GET KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS INTO PRESCHOOL CLASSROOMS. THIS YEAR THIS LOOKS A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENTLY.

OBVIOUSLY, WE DON'T WANT TO INVITE A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE FROM OUTSIDE OF OUR SCHOOLS INTO THE BUILDING, BUT WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY TO DO THIS VIRTUALLY.

AND SO A LOT OF THE THINGS THAT WE WANT TO HAVE KIND OF ON THIS YEARLY KINDERGARTEN TRANSITION TIMELINE, WE'RE GOING TO BE STILL TRYING TO DO IT'S JUST GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT FORMAT. AND THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS IS THAT ONCE WE GET KINDERGARTEN TEACHERS AND PRESCHOOL TEACHERS COLLABORATING, THIS WILL REALLY HELP US HAVE GREAT CONVERSATION ABOUT WHAT KINDERGARTEN READINESS IS AND HOW WE CAN SUPPORT FAMILIES AS THEY MOVE FROM THESE PRESCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS INTO OUR SCHOOL DISTRICT.

AND I THINK IT'S A GREAT WAY TO ALSO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR FAMILIES WHO HAVE BEEN IN THESE EARLY CHILD CARE CENTERS FOR A FEW YEARS, SOME OF THEM THREE YEARS, YOU KNOW, BEFORE THEY COME TO US.

AND SO CREATING A CONNECTION AND REACHING OUT TO OUR PRE-K PROVIDERS AND IN OUR COMMUNITY, I THINK IS A REALLY GREAT STRENGTH THAT I CAN BUILD ON THIS YEAR.

I DON'T KNOW HOW THE TERMINOLOGY GOES, BUT AT WHAT POINT WILL THAT PLAN BE ROLLED OUT SO THAT THE PRESCHOOL TEACHERS CAN GIVE THE INFORMATION TO THE FAMILIES THAT ARE VERY ANXIOUS ABOUT THIS SITUATION? WE HAVE AN ADMIN MEETING TODAY WITH OUR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND DEPARTMENT MANAGERS, AND WE HAVE SENT OUT SOME PRELIMINARY IDEAS FOR GETTING FEEDBACK FROM SOME OF THEIR STAFF AROUND BUDGET REDUCTIONS.

AND AS TRUSTEE TESKE SAID, WE DON'T HAVE A LOT OF INFORMATION.

BUT OFTENTIMES WHAT HAPPENS IS WE DON'T HAVE A LOT OF INFORMATION FOR FOUR MONTHS AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN WE HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION AND WE HAVE TO MOVE FORWARD.

SO WE'RE REALLY TRYING TO FOCUS ON GETTING FEEDBACK AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.

SOME FEEDBACK THAT WE'VE REQUESTED OUR ADMINISTRATORS GET FROM THEIR STAFF TODAY IS REALLY FOCUSED AROUND THE STRATEGIC PLAN.

WHAT WE'RE DOING THAT ALIGNS WITH THE STRATEGIC PLAN, MAYBE SOME OF THE THINGS WE'RE DOING THAT DON'T ALIGN TO THE STRATEGIC PLAN.

AND DO STAFF SEE EFFICIENCIES THAT CAN BE GAINED ALONG THOSE LINES? AND CAN WE AT THE SAME TIME AS LOOKING AT SOME REDUCTIONS, ALSO LOOK AT OUR STRATEGIC PLAN AND HOW WE'RE DOING THAT AND HOW WE CAN DO IT BETTER AND ALSO IDENTIFY ANY AREAS OF NEED . GOING THROUGH THESE PROCESSES OFTENTIMES HIGHLIGHTS AREAS WHERE WE'RE NOT MEETING THE BAR WITH THE STRATEGIC PLAN, BUT ARE THERE ADDITIONAL RESOURCES THAT THEY MAY NEED IN THE PROCESS AS WELL? SO IT'S A GOOD TIME FOR ADMINISTRATORS TO TOUCH BASE WITH THEIR STAFF AND GET SOME INITIAL FEEDBACK RIGHT NOW.

WE YOU KNOW, THE RECALIBRATION COMMITTEE OF THE LEGISLATURE DID PASS AND I BELIEVE IS INTRODUCING THE BILL TO CUT ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS OUT OF THE FOUNDATION PROGRAM HERE SHORTLY. AND THEY WILL BE VOTING ON THAT, BOTH THE HOUSE AND THE SENATE.

SO, WELL, I GUESS IT HAS TO PASS THE HOUSE FIRST.

[LAUGHTER] BUT YOU KNOW THAT WAS A BILL THAT WAS FORMED IN A JOINT COMMITTEE IN THE INTERIM. SO THAT'S THE FIRST ONE WE'VE SEEN.

I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL BE THE LAST OR IF THERE WILL BE OTHERS, BUT WE'VE DESIGNED THIS BUDGET CALENDAR AROUND BOTH THE BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETINGS AS WELL AS THOSE VIRTUAL MEETINGS. AND WHEN I PUT THIS TOGETHER, WE HAD LIMITED INFORMATION.

I THINK WE HAVE NEW INFORMATION NOW.

SO I WILL CONTINUE TO POST THIS AT THE BOARD MEETING SO THAT WE HAVE AN UPDATE OF WHEN THOSE MEETINGS ARE HAPPENING AND WHAT ACTUALLY IS TAKING PLACE IN THOSE MEETINGS.

THE CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN MADE IS THAT IT'S KIND OF INTERESTING.

THEY WERE JUST POSTED ACTUALLY THIS AFTERNOON AS.

BUT AS YOU ALL KNOW, THE LEGISLATURE MET ON TUESDAY, YESTERDAY, THE GOVERNOR GAVE A VERY BRIEF ADDRESS, I THOUGHT ANYWAY, IT WAS ONLY 20, 25 MINUTES LONG.

ON JANUARY 20TH AND 21ST, THE SENATE AND HOUSE EDUCATION COMMITTEE WILL BE MEETING.

INTERESTING TO NOTE IS THAT THE BILL THAT KRISTEN IS REFERENCING IS NOT EITHER ONE OF THOSE AGENDAS. THE SENATE HAS NOT PUBLISHED THEIR AGENDA YET, BUT THIS PARTICULAR BILL THAT KRISTEN MENTIONED HAS TO BEGIN IN THE HOUSE BECAUSE THERE'S REVENUE ASSOCIATED WITH IT. SO I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT IS AND WHAT'S COMING ABOUT.

THAT WOULD HAVE COST TO TETON COUNTY PRESENTLY AS WE SIT AT ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THREE PERCENT, A NEW NUMBER WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY TWO PERCENT.
