Suggested Motion: To approve the Special Meeting Agenda as presented. 

ACTION AGENDA

Review of Smart Start Plan and possible action as to requiring face coverings in schools.

Executive Summary: The Smart Start plan has been revised to align with guidelines from the CDC.  

If the Teton County community is at high or substantial risk of transmission and designated in the “red” or “orange” designations, universal mask wearing is required indoors and in crowded outdoor settings. If Teton County is in the “yellow” or “green” designation, universal mask wearing is recommended indoors and in crowded outdoor settings. This requirement applies to all individuals other than children under the age of two or with a medical exemption from a healthcare professional.

** added on 8/23/2021 sentence on page 6 under "Vaccinations" - new sentence " When children under the age of twelve are eligible to receive the vaccine, universal masking may be optional depending on the county risk level."

Suggested Action: I move to approve universal masking to be required if the county is in "red" or "orange" while indoors or in crowded outdoor spaces.  If the county is in "yellow" or "green", universal masking is recommended.
