ACTION AGENDA
2022 SPECIAL EXCISE TAX BALLOT PROPOSITIONS
Executive Summary: The Board of Trustees are asked to consider the proposed 2022 Special Purpose Excise Tax Ballot propositions.
$36,265,000.00 for the Bronc Achievement Center - Jackson Hole High School
$36,265,000.00 for designing, planning, engineering, construction, and equipping the Bronc Achievement Center located at the Jackson Hole High School. The new building includes the construction of new classrooms for Culinary Arts, Fabrication Lab, Engineering Lab, Robotics Lab, Media Arts, CNA Training, and other classrooms. By moving these space intensive classrooms out of the main high school, space will be freed up to allow for expansion within the substantially crowded main high school. Funds shall also be used to renovate and expand classrooms within the main high school. The new Bronc Achievement Center will also include a gymnasium, running track, a wrestling room, and other athletic and educational spaces. Any unexpended funds, including any unused contingency funds, shall be placed into a designated account, the principal and interest of which shall be used for operations and maintenance of the Bronc Achievement Center. And to the extent necessary and allowed by law, the pledge to or payment of debt service and/or lease payments thereon.
This project is sponsored by the Teton County School District #1.
$15,000,000.00 for the 24 Unit Housing Project next to Jackson Hole Middle School.
$15,000,000.00 for the purpose of funding planning, design, engineering, and construction of housing/rental units preferably located next to the Jackson Hole Middle School in the Town of Jackson but may be used for other housing/rental projects. Any unexpended funds, including any unused contingency funds, shall be placed into a designated account, the principal and interest of which shall be used for operations and maintenance of the Housing Project. And to the extent necessary and allowed by law, the pledge to or payment of debt service and/or lease payments thereon.
