Description of Project:
Summer ArtMobile
The ArtMobile had a busy summer, traveling into parks and encouraging group art-making with a focus on using recycled art inspired by our giant R Park troll Mama Mimi. We reached over 350 local youth with weekly programming staffed by local student Adele Fa rag, and artist Emily Boespflug, with additional support provide by community mobilizers Blanca Moye, arts instructor Billi Harrington. Youth participants created recycled trolls, musical instruments made from junk (for a Junkestra), and troll-inspired mad libs.
We added 5 fall programs in Aspen Meadows and Cottonwood Park to engage youth after school, and we gave out snacks and free books. During winter break, JH Public Art worked with pARTners and One22 to distribute do-it-yourself art instructions along with free art supply bags.
We also piloted a program at Teton Literacy for youth. Our mobilizer Blanca Moye taught emotional literacy using hand puppets to engage families that were participating in early childhood literacy.
Blanca Moye continues to work with JH Public Art as a community mobilizer who informs local families about our programs.
Statistics for the ArtMobile and fall/winter youth programs outside of school hours:
• All marketing printed in Spanish and English
• We advertised 14 scheduled summer events in community parks
• Added 5 fall sessions
• 350 children, families, and differently abled people were engaged in summer
• Additional 200 families reached in December
• Attendees included youth from pre-school to high school, families, and adults with disabilities
• Bilingual educational activities were a collaboration through local museums and the Art Association
In-Class Programs
Modeled after the sculpture Mama Mimi in R Park, more than 400 local youth participated in the Build-a-Troll Challenge to create trolls and troll houses using recycled materials collected from the community. A video, featuring troll's artist Thomas Dambo and local organizations, taught students about waste in Teton County, helping them make the connection between recycling and land conservation. Trolls and troll houses were displayed at the Recycling Center, Teton County Fair Grounds Recycling Area, Center for the Arts, Teton County Library and the JH Children's Museum. In classroom support was provided by pARTners.
Youth who were in residence at Teton Youth & Family Services' Red Top Meadows also helped disassemble 100 wood pallets and participated in a build day with lunch on-site with artist Thomas Dambo.

FINAL REPORT
Description of Project: As our club continues to grow, so do the demands we have for more updated equipment. Traditionally soccer equipment turnover is a large expense for the club, and items with a short shelf life, such as soccer balls that must continually be replaced.
Jackson Hole Youth Soccer impacts a large segment of our local community. Last year JHYS had approximately 1,050 total registrations for our programs (spring, fall, and winter) . In total, JHYS provides healthy after school options for roughly 30% of all kids in local schools. We operate soccer programs year-round, including indoor soccer in the winter and camps during the summer. Our programs provide a positive impact on the education and development of children in the Jackson Hole community . We teach the ethics of hard work, the benefits of teamwork, self and team discipline along with the satisfaction of putting in the effort to achieve goals.
Suggested Action: I move to approve Jackson Hole Youth Soccer Final Report as presented.

FINAL REPORT
Description of Project: **September 13, 2021 marked the beginning of the Teton County School District Recreation District grant funding period for the described project. The final phase of the program will reach completion on May 27, 2022 (the end of Spring Session).
In fall 2021, 16 students were enrolled in Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding’s programs. From September 13 through October 8, students participated in either adaptive Riding or Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) lessons. Participants were assigned to the appropriate program based on their interest, goals, and physical ability.
Unfortunately, the room used to conduct indoor EAL lessons is small and lacks sufficient ventilation during a pandemic. Therefore, due to continued concerns related to the spread of COVID-19, the classroom portion of the EAL was cancelled.
Fourteen students were assigned to our Adaptive Riding program. Adaptive Riding was taught in a group setting by a specially trained and certified instructor who designed each lesson to meet specific riding goals through activities that developed the cognitive, physical and/or social skills of the participants. Students were able to build their skills over a series of weekly lessons, making tremendous improvements that benefited them in their daily lives.
Two students opted to enroll in unmounted EAL due to their goals and interests. EAL is an educational approach that incorporates equine-facilitated activities and equine/human interaction in an environment of learning and self-discovery. This unmounted activity addressed cognitive thought processing and meeting challenges appropriately, as well as developing empathy and thoughtfulness toward others. The horse-human interaction was guided by a planned learning experience to meet the identified goals of the students. Through EAL, these students learned critical life skills, such as trust, respect, honesty, and communication. The horse was especially helpful in teaching boundaries, augmenting teamwork skills, and guiding appropriate behavior.
The end of Spring Session 2022 will mark the end of this grant period. We are currently awaiting enrollment by the various TCSD No. 1 schools, but expect roughly 25 students to participate. Students from Jackson Elementary School, Munger Mountain Elementary School, Colter Elementary School, Jackson Hole Middle School and Jackson Hole High School are invited to participate.
Suggested Action: I move to approve Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding Final Report as presented.

FINAL REPORT
Description of Project: Parks and Recreation has one of the most affordable after school programs offered in the valley.
We have expanded our capacities and program quality. We introduce the students to our partners which this year have included the Cougar Fund, Historical Society, Tammy with Refit and Paws of JH.
Partners come on site to the schools to reduce travel time after school.
Unfortunately, this year due to varying Covid restrictions, spikes, and changes, we were not able to host as many community partners as we would have liked. We are hoping in the second half of the school year, our partners will be more open and willing to come into the school and share with the students. Partners have recently been open to scheduling more often than in the beginning of the 2021 school year.
Also, due to many staffing challenges we are having to enlist the help of many of our full-time recreation center staff to ensure that we meet the student to teacher ratios in the program. Teton County recently completed their assessment of pay rates. This resulted in increased hourly pay rates that we hope will help us recruit and retain staff. Therefore, we paid more out in salaries this year than ever before.
Staffing continues to be a consistent challenge. This program is vital to working parents in Teton County to provide a safe, supervised place for their children. The request for funds helps us to continue to support the K-5th after school program and to keep it affordable.
With these funds for our Kids Club Program, we can provide quality, accessibility, and affordability to the many families in our community.
This program operates daily throughout the school year from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
Suggested Action: I move to approve TC Parks & Rec Afterschool Community Kids Club Program Final Report as presented.
